Black Poetry : YOU

You point fingers.
You pick up lies and paint streets with them.
You lure little girls into sexism.
You are sexism plastered on bricks, TVs, and magazine insides.
You fail to be more than your horror stories.
You wrap yourself around trauma and stress.
You pretend life should be all about drama and stress.
You are drama in the flesh.
You are The Devil walking disguised as my sister, camouflaged as my brother, sadly designed to be my mother.
You are lurking on the edge of death.
You are living fear!
Running from the truth, the beauty, the gold planted in our souls:

You are rotten to core, as an apple with a worm, no longer able to be used.
You are worthless.
You are the muck under my shoes, the nasty stench of foul garbage the homeless eat from, the selfish rich man who denies a slither of freedom.
You are the master who denies yourself the freedom you barely deserve.
You barely even know what freedom is.
You’re pitiful.
A sadness so sour and powerful that others look on in despair.
You are a sight.
Something for all to see and never wish to become.
You are an example for everyone of what one looks like after years of denial, betrayal, and guilt.
You are the epitome of unsuccessful.
The symbolism of rock bottom.
The poster child for dreams that never come true.
A person that never woke up, from internal misery.

You are the perfect clinical experiment!
You are waiting, waiting, for something to never happen.
Recognize what you are.
Recognize what you are.
You are the tornado of life.

I am looking for participants in a study to share their experiences as former African American males served as ED/EBD/BD in the southeast. Participants ages 18-35 will be interviewed and given the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings and impressions of their school years. If interested or for more information please contact me directly. Thanks, Cheryl

Thank you for the welcome. I have a question. I am a doctorate student in need of participants for my study. Is it allowable to post a request for study participants. If so, this is the post that would be uploaded:
