wow.. I had no idea. That's wild.. but.. sadly.. completely predictable.
Shia..? Iran, Syria.. come on man. Somebody somewhere was supposed to pull his coat.. and let him know how this thing really works.

I hear you. I can't fault him though because he was following what he FOUND to be the Right Path.

I can't go into detail but will say this. Ain't all of our people who are following the path of al-Islam (including myself, currently) Sunni. In my case I have ancestral blood ties to the 4th Imam and Sharbanu, one of the Holiest women in al-Islam.

But because of the political climate in this country if you are a professed Muslim who is not Sunni the FBI is all over your tail, monitoring your every move. Perhaps he didn't have anyone around to pull his coat thus his tragic end.

Peace

'We're always helping out the government by cleaning up our people and the crim. We help the government more than it helps itself'.

Exactly. We got too many informants in our communities working overtime to keep us on lock. This ain't no joke and its about time we stop playing with folks who we know are working against us. Ignoring them ain't enough because that's when they do the most damage.

Muslims like Imam Jamil [life in prison] and Imam Luqman [the Imam that was killed] were and are Sunnis. Also the Muslims being held at the Guantanmo Bay detention camps. And many others are being watched and targeted and have been arrested.

I am aware of these facts but who are we talking about here?

Lets now look at why El Hajj Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm X) was assassinated.

Straight to the point...because the FBI and the US govt. viewed him as a threat to national security. Why?

Because he was no threat when he identified himself as a Black nationalist. No one takes Black nationalists seriously. Black nationalists do not even take Black nationalism seriously.

Once he renounced Black nationalism, he embraced Pan Africanism. This is evident in his autobiography. Just witness the numerous heads of state that he visited. Virtually all were noted Pan Africanists who also were either assassinated or deposed in western orchestrated coups.

Another reason is because he moved beyond the civil rights movement to initiating a Human Rights campaign. He stopped speaking in terms of race, and into expressions concerning our Humanity.

His conversion to "orthodox" (whatever that is) also was part of the equation, on a personal level, but it was his move toward Pan Africanism and Human Rights that posed a threat to Ameriklan interests.

Think about it. How many Pan Africanist or Human Rights activists from the 60s or 70s are still alive?

Then ask yourself. How many Black nationalists from the 60s or 70s are still alive?

What do those who are still alive and what do those who are deceased have in common?
