I fail to understand why either of your political parties would not want this passed and to say that you go on a list if you vote with the other party, is crazy. I guess i misunderstood when your congress talks about bipartisanship.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi began the meeting by chastising the two dozen moderates who voted on Tuesday in favor of a Republican amendment to a gun control bill that requires gun retailers to report illegal immigrants who attempt to buy a gun.

Flint water crisis happened before Abdul El-sayed became the director of an under funded team and largely toothless agency called Detroit Health Department (under funded by repugs on the way to the Flint water crisis) and never took place under his watch but something he had to try and deal with after the fact none the less. Here's a small bio of him;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_El-Sayed
As to who he was boinking on the side sounds more like a personal problem to me, so it doesn't matter to me as long as it doesn't involve diddling with young children and it shouldn't to you either.

If that's the most you've dug up on A O C don't be too hard on her, give her some time to become a real politician! Why do you think they call them freshmen? It takes time to become truly self-servingly venal. Any politician in their second term makes her look like a piker and most before they even get their first shot at a term in Washington whatever politics they wear on their sleeve.
At least she can speak in coherent sentences so give her that much credit.

Don't you find it funny how the National Review doesn't really give any specifics about the bill but only peddle in lurid head line words that doesn't give any details and like another poster won't even give what the number of the bill is so it can be referenced for your own perusal to make a judgement on it's merits for yourself?
Ya see bientempo when some bill comes through that looks good in head line words but fails it's because there's a devil buried somewhere in there that queers it when read in context and it's true intent is revealed.
80% of the time (maybe more!) when congress passes what is 'called a bipartisan bill' most of the aware people of the working class start looking for the KY jelly.
Here's a small sampling and results of what bipartisan bills have done for America over the years and decades;

And let lurid headline words like 'Hit Lists' go. Those so called hit lists within the political context are as American as apple pie.

My search terms "what house bill had this amendment to a gun control bill that requires gun retailers to report illegal immigrants who attempt to buy a gun.".

As far as I was able to track this. it is house bill HR 8. that was voted on tuesday. Seems that very few if any indicated what the number of the house bill referenced was. so not just the link i referenced above. And as she has threaten moderate democrats before I would give it a little more substance than apple pie.

This link has the text of the proposed amendment. you can ignore the rest of the link
