I was recently told of an African tribe that does the most beautiful thing.
When someone does something hurtful and wrong, they take the person to the center of town, and the entire tribe comes and surrounds him. For two days they’ll tell the man every good thing he has ever done.
The tribe believes that every human being comes into the world as GOOD, each of us desiring safety, love, peace, …
happiness. But sometimes in the pursuit of those things people make mistakes. The community sees misdeeds as a cry for help. They band together for the sake of their fellow man to hold him up, to reconnect him with his true Nature, to remind him who he really is, until he fully remembers the truth from which he’d temporarily been disconnected: “I AM GOOD”.

In the Spirit of Sankofa,

... Now this is practicing the concept of Sankofa. Thanks sister noor100 for dropping this wisdom from our ancestors... you are always on point and have been terribly missed, at least by me.

Thank you Brother Clyde for your warm welcome. I am now beginning to see clearly that charity starts at home. Although we should be concern about injustice and oppression everywhere, we must first be concern about our own communities first. I have learn much from this site [Destee's] and I thank you all.

And likewise, we've learned from you as well sister noor100; such as this paper you've shared. It does a very good job of replacing tidbits of info concerning Black History Month.

Sounds like you may be leaving again, hope you're not:)

Peace In,

Hi Brother shaka64 ... Welcome Home!
Destee, my Sister!! I am sending you greetings with love from a rainy and relentless overcast Michigan! But you continue to bring sunshine into my life and for that I am eternally grateful!
