Verizon’s #YouDon’tKnowMe Campaign Challenges Stereotypes of Young Men of Color, Promotes STEM

Verizon’s latest PSA takes aim at the stereotypes that often plague young men of color. With the line #YouDon’tKnowMe, the spot challenges these pre-judgments and encourages viewers to not make assumptions based solely on color.

The PSA starts with the image of a young male in a black hoodie walking down the street. The camera follows him from behind as the viewer soaks in the opening image. Verizon uses prison slave labor consisting mostly of Black and brown men.
When you call Verizon customer service, you"ll probably be speaking to a Black prisoner makeing less than $1.00 hour,

I know this is a positive thread. Verizon is not positive.

I am looking for participants in a study to share their experiences as former African American males served as ED/EBD/BD in the southeast. Participants ages 18-35 will be interviewed and given the opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings and impressions of their school years. If interested or for more information please contact me directly. Thanks, Cheryl

Thank you for the welcome. I have a question. I am a doctorate student in need of participants for my study. Is it allowable to post a request for study participants. If so, this is the post that would be uploaded:
