yeah yeah.. the white man.. of course... but the question persists: What makes them so easily mislead?.... today?...
If they said "the church" it seems as if that answers your question. Peace!

"Give the pastor money and he can deliver the children"

Interesting that when watching they were translating the dialog up until after the man made this comment, or agreed with what the "journalist" was saying.

Soon after, a few others seemed to either interject and make some comments in regards to the comment, and it almost seems as if there was a minor disagreement between the man and a few others around.

Journalist: "He can deliver the children"?

Man with hat: "Yes man"

Voice over to the side: "unintelligible"

I think I made out "pastor can't do that!"

Observe how the man attempted to go into "defensive explanation mode", hands and all.
Go back and watch, then the scene gets cut off.

Obviously, the varying sides within this community were not purposeful for this documentary.

Here is a sampling of what John H. Clarke says about history

John Clarke states:
"At this period in history, all Kings or Pharaohs traveled with a Magician"

Serious question, what would be the difference between a "Magician" and those that these people consider dealing with "Witches"?

Not sure, but seems like Clarke was of the belief that "Magicians" existed in history, as he so states.

What were/are these "Magicians", and do they still exist?

Levite "Priests" (see Aaron and Moses) ...

For example,

Mysticism, magic, and kabbalah are integral parts of Judaism and are essential in the life of every Jewish person. They shed light upon those areas of people’s life that we know little about. They teach us about our spirituality, values, unselfishness, abilities and interaction with everything around us. Mysticism wraps around most kabbalistic ideas and concepts, such as creation, symbolism, numerology and the Tree of Life.

Other than it being stated that they, didn't get down with what was being preached to them,
what reason could they have for accusing kids as young as 8 (perhaps younger), of being
witches?

Everything has a place of origin. So I ask when, in nigeria, did this idea come about?

UBNaturally,

How can these people, in your estimation, be so easily mislead?

No... referring to the "Egyptian Magicians" of the Pharaohs that Clarkes claims traveled with them, not the so called "Hebrew High Priests".

Clarke essentially debunks the "Exodus" story and then includes the existence of "Magicians" in Egypt, long before he claims the "Priests" of "Aaron and Moses" came onto the scene.

See who were these "Magicians" that were around with the Pharaohs/Kings long before the "Levites"?

Using the "Bible" that the very same person claims is plagiarized mythology, to explain the "History" and the "Magicians" of the Pharaohs in "History" would be confusing.

Wanting to deal with material that is established outside of the "Bible" since he somewhat chuckled at the stories in the "Bible" in this clip, while claiming the existence of Magicians.

Are we all clear on what a "magician" was in ancient time?

Clarke is one source. I get where you are coming from but don't the Jews claim that Moses performed "magic" in Egypt?

So, I'm trying to keep my responses in the context of this thread, and my mention of Jews is a hint as to why this is going on.

1. I'm sure that the term "magic" does not exactly or accurately describe or define the practice in ancient Egypt, which some may also describe as (black magic) and,

2. Don't some Yoruba traditions claim that they were priests from ancient Egypt (Kemet)?

Put 1 and 2 together..

They mostly claim to be ancient Canaan priest. They are one of the few black tribes with Neanderthal DNA.
