…I recall having met you
…I recall having laughed with you
…I recall having travelled foreign countries with you
…I recall having kissed you
…I recall having loved you
…I recall having known you for a limited period of my life
…I recall having attempted to embark – with you – on a journey that was to last a life-time.

Distant memories now, faintly present.
I am defying the tears, I am fighting the pain that I feel less and less.
Trying to picture your face, my memories will fail me.
You are far away, just like you wanted it to be, and with you, you took the memories.

I have regained my independence, have regained my strength, have regained my pride, have regained my balance.

Happy the way I am and everything else is fading away, away, away……………………

In time a lost love takes up less space in your mind, and you continue on in life becoming stronger. I felt more determination in this piece than sorrow. Very nice flow.

I know this is my first status update since 2020 begin, but all of us agree that 2020 delivered a low-blow
to each of us with the miscellaneous events we have recently seen which brought all of us great displeasure.
