Is it better to teach/model to your children how to stay together even in a detrimental relationship, or to teach them how to walk away and start over?

Though there are questions about detrimental/abusive relationships, there are reams of data showing it is better to stay in a two parent home for the kid(s). Thus it is imperative that you choose well a mate.

Suppose the marriage is filled with arguing? Resentments? Tension? Suppose the children think it's their fault?

I vote. Yes they should stay together. If they no longer get along, they should have considered that before making said children. And it teaches the children by example that you don't walk away from problems. Children are a HUGE responsibility and I think people have them with no consideration

I'm Black on Destee, I feel at home! It's been a while! Soooo in 2004 I married my Senegalese Husband, when I first went to Senegal, I loved, it! The people were hospitable and my husband's family was very kind! Well I've been there many times now, have taken African Americans, well over 150 and it has been an amazing experience!
