Brooklyn
Occupation
owner of various real estate concerns
Nigerian made in Nigeria soap operas, romance dramas, detective shows and comedies (
the teen midget that plays the charachter of a smart fast talking child, is MINT!!!!!!)
All of thse forms of entertainment are great and here in Brooklyn , sold everywhere!!!!

But i always question my African born in Africa Nigerian brothers and sisters, with all of these thosands of TV shows why is there not at least one,
showing how Nigeria liberated themselves from the British colonists, and celebrate their revolution the way the US does. in documentaries, plays, folklore and dramas?

They have to work on toning down the Western influence in some of their movies first; some of the actors strive to go Hollywood, which is a HUGE mistake imho. Nollywood needs to maintain its unique African character; there are some films done solely in indigenous language---this is wonderful, but a dilemma if you don't speak the language and there are no subtitles.

Here's another good drama...

If that was addressed to me, I never said that all modern films were bad. It's just some are too heavily influenced by Hollywood /American television. I can look at some Black American influence in some of the films and can tell you it ain't pretty...lol. However, it's a mixed blessing, because even with the cultural difference, you can tell they have a certain identification with us. What other traditional films can you recommend?
