I hope all is going well for you.
Im struggling as always but things will get better. I am the "victim" of my own decisions and some have been unwise, others i have no control over as situations dictate.
I have the book I recommended but have not really gotten into it like I want and I've had it for over a year. Like I mentioned elsewhere meditation has not really helped me since moving from los angeles two years ago because of my angst trying to deal with an unstable job/career situation. I do find time--here and there---but qualitative meditation does require a dedication to make it a regular part of your daily routine.
I had an auto accident a few months ago and go to therapy 2 or 3 times a week. I get extensive massage therapy and it sufficiently relaxes me for up to two days.
Perhaps acupunture or accupressure combined with meditation may be of benefit, or a course on the practice of reiki healing. This is a hands-on approach that does not really involve reading and engaging it ritual.
Meditation or any other practice should be therapeutive and lead to healing.
Note: I have engaged in chakra meditation and practicing some of the exercises the Medu Neter outlines. Some of these worked. But a gifted therapist can FEEL what centers you have that are blocked and which need healing.
Yoga, tai-chi, qi-gong all are good practices to aid in the art of healing.
