It was September 1, 2005, some three days after Hurricane Katrina crashed into New Orleans, and somebody had just blasted Herrington, who is African-American, with a shotgun. "I just hit the ground. I didn't even know what happened," recalls Herrington, a burly 32-year-old with a soft drawl.

Herrington shouted at the other men to run and turned to face his attackers: three armed white males. Herrington says he hadn't even seen the men or their weapons before the shooting began. As Alexander and Collins fled, Herrington ran in the opposite direction, his hand pressed to the bleeding wound on his throat. Behind him, he says, the gunmen yelled, "Get him! Get that ******!"

Seneb,

Thanks for this article. It was very informative and enciteful.

What we have to realize is this. Those shootings were not crimes. I repeat.. Those shootings were not crimes at all (at least not legally), and they will not be investigated.

On August 31st, Mayor Nagin declared Martial Law.

As it stands right now, when Martial Law is in effect... the Constitution and any other laws go out the back door. So those people had full right LEGALLY to go and kill as many N***a's as they wanted to.

A lot of THEM know this, but WE haven't caught on yet.

And Martial Law is something that we are going to have to pay attention to, because when and/or if the economy crashes, and you begin to see craziness going on in the communities, widespread martial law could be called.

Cynthia McKinney Talks about the 5,000 executed in this video.
