Streets glazing
trees swaying
lights flickering
sleet falling
all around is
the coldness
and the stuff
just keeps on
falling
Power lines falling
customers calling
frantic the candle
search begins
how long you ask
them at customer
service, "Could
be two days or more!"
I remember when it
was more than four.
Seeking refuge or
giving refuge or riding
it out like back in the
day... No lights, no micro
waveable, no pc's, no
cordless phones or answering
machine functioning.
Lights flash in the distance
as transformers are disfunctioning
Complainining?
No, from that I am refraining.
Winter in the Midwest is always
brutal.
Been mild
Now it's wild
So I gather my stuff
and just smile
And I walk out the door
where the coldness is
all around
and we will spend time
as a family in one house
for a while!
Am I complaining?
No I am observing!
