No point its just you all seem to think he is this great humanitarian(not). Now maybe its just me but I tend to regard the Venezuelan newspapers as reliable sources. Now if you don't thats your prerogative.

And what are those highly negative statements that I have made about Haitians. If wanting them to go back to their own country is Highly negative, then I'm guilty! WE cant support/absorb them. We are not a rich enough country to do so. Now if all other countries want to send land and money to do so, we might consider it. Especially the land. Between the 2 countries there is a population of about 20 million, with a Land Area 29321sq miles. You have 40 states with a larger land area than our entire island. But only 4 states that are larger by population. California, Texas, New York, and Florida, all much bigger in land area.

They are overwhelming us with numbers. 2million+ and counting (equal to a 5th of our population). That would be the equivalent of your having 60,000,000 illegals concentrated in an area of the size of one of your states like Nevada as it has more than 5 times the land area of the Dominican Rebublic. How many Americans would go along with that idea?

Dominican Republic
18,680 sq mi population currently about 9.5million

Nevada pick another state if you want you have 11 of them that are 5 times or more larger than the DR. 41 that are larger.
110,567 sq mi (ranked 7th) population currently about 2.6million. (Nevada)

wonder why we might have a problem with that.

So therefore you know what all us "darkies" think?

Actually no one is interested in him or what's going on there until this post was made.

We are more concerned with African , African American and African Caribbean issues

and your concerns on a Black website are what?

Wow what’s with the attack, are you doing a paper bag test now to determine who should post?
There seemed to be a lot of interest in this subject back in February you know when the earthquake was still news. The difference is that here on the island we are still living with the after effect, either via transshipment of goods, Overload on our hospitals, and immigration.

We are more concerned with African , African American and African Caribbean issues.

Agree with the above statement with a caveat. You seem to be concerned with African and African Caribbean issues but only if they coincide with African American ideals. If they should happen to be different then they must either be misguided, or just plain wrong.
It’s a great idea that Destee has, but as its mainly an AA site, then other view points are discredited. No fault of hers.

Bientempo,
You tend to lean toward the right, and appear to be very critical of Castro and Cuba’s right to live with out the U.S.A and now the same toward Chavez. No one here is promoting these two individuals, Yet you believe we support them, Why? You may not be aware of it, but you do come off as a propagandist for the cubanitos of Miami. Some here may have some Socialist tendencies, but no one here is pro-communist.

I thought you might want to know this.

African American Ideals? wow even Sean Hannity would not be that racist or that crude.
I have been African American all my life and have never heard of "African American Ideals" now if you are talking about the ideals of Pan Africanism that both Malcolm and Martin espoused and worked on together in that brief time, idals that Black folks appreciate all over the world, then who are you to say they are wrong or out of pace?
So please if the Dominicans are so concerned about what you just mentioned then the government to end the enslavement of Haitians in the DR.

At the top of the home page it clearly states that this site is about buiding and encouraging Black people.

You identify yourself as a mulatto so why are you whining about Black members on a Black website expressing Black issues. You probably need to find a mulatto forum

What enslavement of Haitians, are you talking about sugar cane plantations, which are a very small percentage of the Haitian population here? The majority are construction workers, which they should be able to put to use rebuilding their country. The rest are beggars, or they are using children as beggars and collecting the money they receive. Haitians are the main abusers of Haitians, whether you’re talking about selling their own children or farming them out from the countryside to the city. They are not enslaved. They are welcome to go anytime they want to.
As far as African American Ideals, cut some slack it’s a second language. How about African American thoughts because I am not referencing Pan African.

Not sure that I lean to the right but probably, but then on the other hand we have lived under a dictator, you have not. There are even some here that long for the days of Trujillo, as they remember the island as a safer place” But only as long as you did not cross El Jefe ”. So its really just a different perspective than you have.

In reality, Casto and Cuba can do what ever they want. Just realize that not all is rosy there, or for that matter in Venezuela. Anywhere they shut down all dissenting news media has to be suspect would you not agree. Or that the president feels the need to go on television and radio every Sunday for 6+ hours, as in Hugo's case, and that ALL the radio an TV stations. The joke now is that his speeches are good for the children as its a sure way to put them to sleep.

Thank you for the consideration. Bi-Racial forums in the USA are not the same as what happened here in the Caribbean. Mulatto means mixed, as almost all in this Hemisphere are.

If it was just black issues that would be fine, but as I said there is as AA slant to the discussions, and there shall be little or no deviation. would be interesting to know how many none AA members there are that have any length of time.

"Mulatto means mixed, as almost all in this Hemisphere are"

Mulattos are half white and half black. This does not apply to the vast majority of Blacks in this country.

"If it was just Black issues that would be fine"

They are "just black issues because they have a direct and indirect impact on Black people. So what business is it of yours when Black folk discuss Black issues?

"As I said there is an AA slant to the discussion"

And what would constitute an "AA slant" and why as a self-described mulatto would you even care?

If the aformentioned poster does intend to be a part of the solution:

They will heed your wake up call...

If they don't?

They will remain a part of the problem and by the way of default...

I'll be honest. I like black culture forums, so I've signed up for this one, BX, and Lipstick Alley. I won't post too often, only on things that I'm really interested in. Nice to meet you. :)
