A couple of weeks ago my brother and sister were telling me about another "stand your ground" case. I didn't want to hear about it because stuff like that upsets me. However I do eventually get around to reading or thinking about it.
My question is, why aren't there any protests? How come no one is making a big deal about it? I know that if my child (if I ever have one) or any other family member is beaten or killed by the police, I'd be going crazy. I'd make an extremely big deal about it.
How come when stuff like this happens (whether it was unfair arrest, beating or worse) you don't see a big crowd of people protesting it? I know I'm repeating myself but it's unbelievable. Perhaps it's fear? I wouldn't be afraid to say something about it. Why even function in your daily life if you're only going to be steamrolled anyway? Might as well just huddle in a corner and die if you're going to let people push you around like that.
