Black Poetry : Hearts in Ice

[Sumthinnew]

Ive heard a rumor told quite often,
that hearts in in ice can never soften.
but ive known many and its not true.
for hearts in ice have feelings, too.
if they've made cry another soul,
within there own hearts grows a hole.
they mask their feelings deep inside,
and face the world with fervent pride.
Thus, they came across uncaring,
but truly their hearts need repairing.
The cruel world hurts such fragile hearts.
for each abuse steals tiny parts.
Hearts in ice, like thus abused.
More enduring a thing has never been,
than a heart once frozen, melted then.
so say what you feel of hearts in ice,
be warned, each deed against them holds price
Each stone thrown, the soft heat tatters,
For ice bends not, it chips and shatters.

The heart can wear ice like a shield of protection. They still feel. just don't want to be hurt any more. I hear ya poet, flow on.
