I understand your frustration, given that nothing has truly freed us yet.

We've tried all sorts of things, many great men and women before us have died trying.

Just because a thing does not work in the manner that you want, doesn't mean it's no good.

It may just be a step on the road to success, one that must be taken.

For example, Harriet Tubman's effort did not free us all, but was good - helped get us here.

I commend those peacefully protesting, kneeling, bringing attention to the issue.

Have you already done this thing, that you say will work?

If you have a way to free us please do share it.

We all want the same thing I think ... freedom from oppression.

I think too many are comfortable with symbolic gestures,just enough for them to still enjoy this plantation...I call them the "Pro Black By Day-ers"

This kneeling to a flag will not stop this wicked race from being murderous as they have always been,this is a very shortsighted and clueless venture, one in which I believe was done in a trendy promotional process instead of real care. The end of the day the killers are still walking free,the oppression continues........Kaepernick just today is already pleading for his job and apologizing.....when I saw him where the afro after first starting to kneel last year....I knew this was gimmicky and twitter hashtag type of revolution and not a black one....

We need to stop allowing frauds to represent us,especially those that are not really black....this was a failed strategy from the start,just like protesting is......nobody has removed an oppressor from off their back with this strategy...

And i'm quite certain sister harriet would have never done any of this,she would've seen how ridiculus it was before it came out....harriet didn't do any "symbolic" gesturing,she made moves and actual actions......

It's easy to find fault with what another is doing, without presenting what you are doing.

With the original post by Childlike stating kneeling was fruitless and for show. Applied recently three years later had the entire worlds view of injustice to people of color.

To me any effort is worth effort. No guarantee the plan has been thought thru, shown it will be successful or in many cases is successful for 100% of the reason it was attempted. That effort in everyday life teaches us that.
So to measure any Man's and Woman's effort falls short because the fall / or result if any is isn't always immediate to any action or reaction. Keep On Keeping On!

As a people we are reactionary. That needs to be changed. We know all the reasons, and issues and have read if not experienced them.

The mere fact any one of any color is speaking out against injustice for another, or we are speaking out against it for ourselves is commendable and can't be discounted just my opinion /position. Arm chair warriors will weigh in. against white's speaking out against what their own perpetrate. Yet all know. That is the crack that aided the ending of slavery. Cracks all made ends all oppression.
