Because of who I am, I’ll never be the same
Because of what I am, I’ll be the one to blame
I’ll stay with family because you understand
A lot more than those afraid to take my hand
No group agrees on everything
I decide what’s important. It’s important to me.
I might act up, go astray, fly a different way
We might not agree and it won’t always be okay
I’ve felt ugly and stupid for way too long
It’s time to change the tune of my life’s song

I got love for you and I’m saying it now
I will still be me, and I’ll make you proud.
